DST
The hardwork of various stakeholders of the college
provided the necessary impetus and motivation for the
college to apply and receive the prestigious DST-FIST
grant, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of
India. As a result the college has developed a state of
the infrastructure with advanced analytical instruments in
form of the Common Facility Centre and E-learning centre.
The Common Facility Centre is expected to strengthen
undergraduate research and develop many key skills
necessary for a science graduate. It will comprise of some
high end instruments like JASCO Gas Chromatography, Double
beam UV spectrophotometer, Rotary Vacuum Evaporator,
Shaker Incubator, Inverted Microscope, Vertical Laminar
Flow, Ikea Moisture analyzer, Florescence
Spectrophotometer, High, Performance Liquid
Chromatography, Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, FTIR
etc. The E-learning center will pave the way for
developing e-resources for the students and improvement of
their soft skills which has become even more relevant and
necessary after the rapid spread of Covid-19 into a
pandemic and sudden lockdown in the country.
