Women Development Committee
WOMEN DEVELOPMENT CELL (WDC)
In keeping with the statutory requirements of the University of
Mumbai, R.D. National College has constituted a Women
Development Cell whose primary objective is to address issues
related to women staff and students of the college and create a
safe environment for them.
The cell also seeks to empower its women staff and students
through workshops, lectures discussions. It sensitizes young
minds on gender related issues, looks into grievances of female
staff and students, as well as creates social awareness clubs
gender related issues and legal awareness on specific issues .In
this way ,the WDC promotes the well being of the female staff
and students of the college .
Over the years, the WDC has held panel discussions, quizzes,
presentations and lectures on women’s issues by eminent
personalities from the fields of media, politics, academics,
social work etc. It has also supported the initiative of the
Khar Police Station to facilitate a better understanding of
women’s issues in our society.
