After months of intricate planning and hard work, B.A. and B.Com. Departments of R.D. & S.H. National College came up with their own festival this year named 'Illuminavi'. The festival took place on the 16th and 17th of January, 2018. Around 32 colleges participated and the college received a footfall of approximately five hundred students each day. The theme decided for the first year of the fest was 'fan fiction'. The two day festival was conducted with extravaganza activities like performing arts, literary arts, fine arts and sports.

The first day of Illuminavi started with the welcome speech by Vice Principal, Dr. Neha Jagtiani by quoting “Illuminavi means-discover the light. I hope you all discover the light within you”

Mr. Kayzad Dadachandji, coordinator of B.Com. addressed the students stating, “In addition to enjoyment, it is my sincere hope that you all learn something from this festival”

The first day of the event started with the cricket event on the basketball court of the college witnessing amazing zeal in the students. The other sport events included volley ball, table tennis, and chess. The debate event was a tough competition between the intellectuals of all colleges. Along with it were treasure hunt, face painting, mono acting and sketching events. The solo dance and group dance events made everyone in the auditorium cheer and encourage their participants. Ms. Suchitra Pillai and Ms. Aakriti Anand graced the occasion with their presence for the events. The fashion show was the last event of the day and made sure to touch a benchmark and keep everyone thrilled for the second day.

The second day began with all the football players competing for their contingents on the basketball court. There was a very interesting event memeable, which was a meme competition. The next event, tale of a true fan went well with the theme of the fest. The jam and Ad-Mad made sure the competition and crowd were in high spirits. 'Aamchi Mumbai' was the photography event which gave a taste of the beauty of Mumbai to all its participants.
